Warhammer Quest Finale?

These were finished up a long time ago (roughly a year) but they mark what may just be the end of my WHQ painting.  Being the thing that started this blog its only right to make sure they are on here!

The last thing I added to the custom rules is a new table and monsters for Undead themed encounters.

Fluorescent paint takes center stage with the various apparitions like these ghost swarms.  One them had a part get lost so I improvised with it being a poltergeist throwing a chair.

These Carion are 3D prints I found around my mini factory.

The bat swarms are absolutely a pain to print but look great.

The direwolves looking suitably disgusting.

The revenantssouls with their rusty sabers.

I was surprised to find spectral guard with crossbows.  Didn't think anyone would have made sculpts but I got lucky and Myminifactory.com as always provides!

Finally the Enslaved Souls for the smaller ghosts.

I've had this Reaper Bone Giant for ages just sitting in a drawer waiting for this moment.  Really awesome sculpt.

The Morghast surprisingly printed right away the first time.  Nice and easy paint up too!

And the undead family photo!  I still need to at least do a full picture with all the WHQ models to celebrate this project being done.  We even finished up our most recent campaign getting to level 10 and fighting Amon Cha'Kai!

Still Not Dead Yet!

 But in those strange aeons...

Yeah its been a long time.  Been struggling with physical and mental health (brought on by meds to treat the first!).  Long story short I haven't been painting.  Remember to reach out for help and trust those close to you please.

I spent almost a whole year not painting which is scary to me.  Really coming back from the brink.  So why not paint up Mansions of Madness as my welcome back!  I love this game its a ton of fun and each scenario is so different from one another.

The goal was to get everything painted, and painted quickly.  Didn't take too much time really and just got me back into the swing of slapping paint on.  The investigators took the longest just due to every sculpt being different.

Detail was not the goal but despite the ultra fast paint jobs they are super playable.  Much easier to find models to use when they aren't a sea of grey plastic.

The bases are 3D prints off of thingiverse they work great for being able to see the tiles beneath them.

The zombie sculpts are pretty bad to be honest.  They just kind of casually stroll around asking for high fives!

I like the wraiths with their unnatural stride and long claws.

Something about the rioters strikes my fancy.  Not sure what though.

The Dunwich Horror sculpt is very odd and unsettling for sure.  Never seen him in a game yet thankfully.

Nice to be back to my old self and having fun again!  Plenty more coming soonish.
