Diamond Dwarves

For this dwarf army I've gone with a diamond mine theme. To pull it off so to speak after getting the basic rocks painted on the bases I spray it with a matte coat and quickly sprinkle clear fine grit glitter over the bases.  This embeds little bits of glitter on all the bases and often means I leave a little glitter magic on every army that dares to charge them!

Some of my Warhammer quest dwarves found their way into the army.  The larger diamonds can be found at any decoration or craft store in bags for cheap.

Keeping with a mine theme the shield breakers had to be dwarf miners.

Avatars of war plus a few GW slayers make up my berserkers.

Again Avatars of War rangers are used for the ranger unit.

My Earth Elementals are all made up of the same diamonds from the bases so these guys were super cheap to do.

And of course the greater version just consists of even more plastic diamonds!

Dwarf Bullwarkers probably deserve the 'most improved unit' award via the clash of kings updates.  Just took a few bits box spears to make the unit.

Gotta have brock riders in a dwarf army and the Mantic models were far more of a joy to paint than I thought they would be.

War pugs.  Just had to do it.

I've debated about adding another steel behemoth.  I'll have to test it out a few more times to be sure I want to spend that many points though...

Finally every dwarf army needs its share of artillery pieces to bring the boom!
