The Night Cage

I've been really looking forward to this game its a co-op claustrophobic maze survival game with plenty of nasty monsters chasing you around with nothing but a candle to cling to.  Of course I had to paint it up after the first game with the wooden meeples!

My first game (outside of Table Top Sim) ended in a win but just barely!  Played on the base game advanced mode which really spices it up.

No the tea lights are not mandatory but they are fun!

Beginning a Quest in Space

Really going back in the catalogue to combat the unpainted masses.  This time back to 1990 with Space Crusade.  Finished up the first squad of Ultramarines and printed out some fancy bases for them as well:

Taking some extra time on this project, its honestly an amazingly well done game and fun to play.

Jungle Delvers!

Heroquest has moved to the jungles and I had to get the latest expansion painted up!  Nice to paint some less generic dungeon denizens for sure!

Lots of fun bright colors to paint this time which always makes me happy.

The new heroes seem like they will be very fun to play as.

The new furniture is really fun and a departure from some of the normal furniture.  I do wish the water basins and the fire would be separate.  I can't do the OSL on the flames without the water looking weird.

I will say the dupe sculpts on the cultists from the previous expansions was kind of a let down.  Just having a new paint scheme seems a little meh.

And that's made up for with raptors having feathers!  Love it!

The goblin warlock is kind of fun, didn't really want to paint more skeletons and goblins but they wil lbe nice to have gameplay wise.

Really liked the new undead models in this.  A nice departure from the usual zombies and skeletons.

The new large monsters are the real stars of the expansion and fun but easy paint jobs.  Really liked painting these and saved them for the end.

More Homebrew, More Madness!

Finished up the more Cthulhu War's homebrew factions!

The Defiler's Court gets the honor of being the faction that starts with nothing and summons their great old one right off the bad step 1!

And to top it off we have the last of the Table Top Sim Discord factions the First born!

A Shop of Fun!

First up I finished up the Tombstalkers faction for Cthulhu Wars!  Really running out of color schemes now its getting tough!

And for Magnum I finished up all the custom dice as well.  My printer is starting to ask for a raise so I guess I gotta start going capitalistically evil...

First up on the shop are a selection of power markers for CW.  Cute little tentacles to replace the rather uninspiring skull rocks.

And a custom die for randomizing your faction selection:

There's even more stuff with minecraft inspired cute statues and obviously more to come in the future!

Heroes and Cultists

Started up the Cthulhu Wars factory again.  This time I'm doing print and play versions of the discord Table Top Simulator factions.  Starting with Magnum Immonimandum.  There's even custom dice printed but I'm still painting those up.

And the The Progenitor faction is finished as well. By far the largest CW faction!

Finished all of my Heres of Might and Magic too at least until the alst faction arrives in the wave two shipping.

And finally the Castle Faction is all done!  I was dreading this faction but actually really enjoyed painting it

Divine Choir

Got the bug to make my own Cthulhu Wars Faction:

Yep Biblical angels come to lower that doom!  Always enjoy painting up something weird, all 3d printed from various models.

Even got a few playtests in!

Still needs more testing but feel free to give it a go:

Even More Heroes

Finished up the Neutral units for Heroes of Might and Magic Board game and the Fortress factions.

Too much variety in this board game!  I had to take a break mid painting the neutrals due to burn out.  Each model is unique in the game meaning you really can't do any batch painting, even the bases are all different on the neutrals making it a bit slow.  The models however are increadible!

Really enjoyed the Fortress faction lots of fun color combos and the bases are gorgeous.

Pixels to Minis

So ever since I played it at a friends house I've loved playing 'just one more turn' in Heroes of Might and Magic.  Obviously I had to join in on the board game kickstarter and it was not a disapointment!  The game is great (though in need of a rulebook overhaul) and the minis are stupendous!!!

The tower faction, not one I ever really play but I like the minis!  lots of fun colors and every mini is a unique sculpt so not tired hordes of goblins here!

The necropolis is mine and many other players favorite in the computer games.

Rampart might be the beginings of my elvish hatred as those guys still hurt in the board game!

I always enjoy painting micro scale castles and terrain.  I should really play something at those small scales...

Just for fun they included a few little greebles to place around the map!

Found a few treasure chests to put all the curancy in.

ALL of the coins were in single colors originally thus making it a pain to distinguish between the denominations.

I really don't think you'd want to use the plastic coins at all without painting them but it doesn't take long at all to accomplish that so get to it!

Why is everyone against the Ogres?!?!

Annnnnd Heroquest is fully painted again!

Finished up the stellar Ogre Horde expansion with top notch models and what looks to be fun non elf related quests!

First up the Rogue Heir (fitting how the elf is the thief) and a pair of Monks!

The druids are a big improvement over the crowd funded druid IMO plus they come with a puppy.

The ranged monsters were a top notch idea to add some variety.

Also helps that the sculpts were solid and fun to paint.

Some ogres are really dead set on high sticking.

The commander reminds me of a cross between GW ogres and Conan

I would like to know why the champion had weird colored skin on the card but it was a nice departure from the norm and fun to experiment with matching it.

This guy is the reason to buy this expansion, I want two he is so much fun to paint, has a ton of character and just that awesome ogre personality!

Again top o the line furniture every time,  The gates even open!

This is my favorite expansion so far by a mile and a half.  Keep it up!
