The Fishy Finish Line

Thats right the Trident Realms army is done.  It came together pretty fast and it was an enjoyable project for sure.

 Had to add an extra troop of Heartpiercers in.

 And the army was lacking in cavalry so why not add some large ones with the wyrmriders?

Almost There...

Just about cleared the 4000 points of fish mark with this batch.  One more unit left to make before I can switch projects...

Since for some reason Mantic hasn't made placoderm hordes I've got some reaper Deep Ones sitting in on the role.

And two hordes worth of tidal swarms gets me close to finishing up this army!

A few reaper sea creatures, Some extras from the new Gloomtide Shipwreck from GW and some Crab toys make for instant tidal swarms!

O-Fish-Ally An Obsession

It's time again for some more Trident Realms!  Yes the army is well over 3000 points now and I worry about my own sanity...

The Thulls are an interesting model.  Kind of a pain to put together and clean due to all the resin venting that was needed to cast them but they look great and paint up easily.

Reaper has provided a VERY nice Coral giant though considering the rest of the Neuritican army models I may have to change if Mantic ever releases their own. Especially if they can top the Greater Water Elemental!

The Riverguard seem like a very odd unit on paper so I'm interested to see if their 6 inch fly can be useful on the field.  I wanted all the different races being used in the army to stand out as different paint schemes but maintain the super bright effect of the army.

Waves!

Finished up a lot of Trident Realms stuff and a unit for Empire of Dust

First troop of Naiad Heartpierces as I'm sure the grey plastic ones will eventually get paint splattered on them.

Two good old fashioned Leviathan Banes

My new favorite model of all the Mantic Greater Water Elemental.  This is both a joy to paint and just an amazing sculpt.  They could have been super lazy with this elemental and it would have been fine but they really put the effort in!

Seriously pick one of these up and have fun!

Eckter got a quick paint up too as a placoderm is just to hard to resist in a low def army.

Making Waves

After another fun paint-a-thon I've expanded the Trident Realms army.  These obnoxiously bright color schemes are a real joy to paint!

I'm really loving the Mantic models in this army.  The wyrm riders are a bit of an assembly chore but they really turn out great.

Mantic hit it out of the park with their water elementals and pictures do not do the model justice at all.  The only issue is how heavy they are being entirely metal.   Thought I would sneak a purple dolphin in just for some more crazy colors though.

Thanks to multibasing I had enough to make an extra regiment of water elementals so why not go for it!

And I finally have some heroes on foot to add some back line support.

I've got Crabs and Kraken...

The kraken is released and now I have crabs...

The gigas horde are the mantic models.  They are a fun cross between crab and lobster I like em!

And reaper has supplied my kraken with this gorgeous model!

Slowly but surely the trident realms army is coming together!  Got a nice horde of naiads done now:

Got some more Trident realms finished up.  almost to a field able 1k points too!

For whatever reason I decided to start with Depth Horrors.

Two full hordes of them!  these are all little toys that come in tubes in craft and toy stores.  After a quick paint up they don't look too bad!

And another cuddly little knucker as well!

Wrapped Up and Under Water

It is a sad time for gaming as our local store is closing down.  In spite of this I still got a few things done.

The empire of Dust army now adds a regiment of mummies to its shuffling ranks.  It would be nice if all models were this fast and easy to paint up sometimes...

And I even got started on my Trident Realms army with a big old Knucker!  I've been struggling with the scheme and basing for this army for a very long time in my mind.  I finally decided to try and tackle it now.
