It's Been How Long?!?!

Yeah it's been a long long time since I've last gotten photos done.  I haven't been super productive on painting just due to having a new house and spending most of my time remodeling and repairing.  That said I'm at the point where Warhammer Quest and it's expansions are all fully painted!

Eventually I want to do a giant group photo but that is going to be a good day long time commitment that I just don't have right now.

Nearly lost this guy in the move. I rather like the skaven doomflayer and I'm going to find a way to incorprate this into my KOW army too...

Found this awesome model on etsy and wanted to use it as a Chaos Giant.

More skaven warmachines with the rattling gun and the warp grinder.

The brood horror is a disgustingly beautiful forgeworld model.  This is another one I can't wait to add to my ratkin army.

I had a lot of fun with the screaming bell.  This is an insanely inventive model for sure.  Lots of tiny details and fun movement on it.

The saurus cold one riders were the last entry to be finished on the Lustria side.

The plague Furnace was a little daunting but the florescents really make it pop.

Finally found a Dark Elf paint scheme I like.  Think I figured out my twilight kin army.

By far this was the hardest model to complete.  Its a LOTR oliphant but covered in fur and various little tid bits as a Chaos War Mammoth.  This thing is stupid huge and gave me a few hand cramps sculpting the fur for sure.

My harpies had an issue with spotty spray paint but I kind just went with it and enjoyed the texture it added.

The Pestigor Hero and his friends.  These were some nice older models lots of little bobbles and fun things to pick out.

Finally the Chaos trolls from Russian Alternative.  Like these guys and the price was very reasonable!

Mr sunshine the Bastiladon.

And finally we have a cursed ettin for Norsca!

Hopefully I can get that giant group shot soon...

Dooooooom

Finished up the skaven doomwheel which was a very intimidating miniature!  Deffinately do not try to paint this after assembling...

And as a bonus amount of doom here's a skulltaker I did for someone else!

Spoils of War

Since I have a decent amount of projects on the table right now that are half finished I thought I might as well show off a few older projects.  Since these are older pics please excuse the even worse camera work than normal.

For a while I was providing prize support for local tournaments in the form of free painting services.  These random assortment of models are a result of just such a crazy idea.

First off the always fun looking mangler squig with a few mushrooms to top him off!

This was oddly enough my first tyranid model ever which was a fun new experience.

A few of the skaven from the fantasy starter set.

Yes the same player got another model as a prize but I just knew it needed some glowing pink lights!

speaking of pink here's a guardsman named bob, no relation.

And finally a night lord chaos marine.

It was certainly fun each month to have some kind of random model to paint out of the blue.  Never hurts to keep things random and interesting that's for sure.

And Done.

Finished up the old world monster tables for Warhammer Quest finally!

First up are the Slaanesh and Khorne chaos warriors just to be complete.  This way no matter which god your chaos warrior chooses I've got it covered!

The dark elves were a bit of a salvage job as they already came painted (horribly) so some details are no longer present.
Finally the last new thing to be finished are a selection of chaos characters to be used in various strange monster encounters.  Lots of flavor and variety in these one which is always fun to paint.
As for the unposted old photos there are a ton!  Here goes:

Needed a few beastmen characters on some entries so of course reaper provides.

The chimera is from reaper as the new GW one is WAY to big to fit in the dungeon as a normal large monster.
Goblin characters are some of the most fun models to paint.

The gorgons are from reaper and in spite of the mono-pose they work well.

The bull god incarnate in the great taurus:

The reaper griffon is a wonderful model nice and easy to paint and a classic pose.

Another once hard to find model the lamasu.  Of course now GW has them back up for sale at prices that nearly match what I paid on ebay for them....

An old classic liche model.

After playing dark souls I decided the manticore needed to be white :)

I love this reaper minotaur character and I only had to touch up and shade the pre paint work that it came with as its one of the legend rubber models.

I wish I had waited to paint this model as its the necromancer from avatars of war.  Not sure I really did it much justice...

Poo daemons or nurglings you decide!

The rat ogres were bought off ebay and came painted however despite this I thought i'd leave the paint job on them as they aren't too bad.

Some more skaven characters (so tired of painting skaven!)

And yet more skaven... so many rats!

I have several flamers in multiple colors/eras of models  fun ones to paint too.
 And of course zombies.

So whats next?  First up is going to be a group shot which will take some work to get together but should be done soonish.  After that its on to lustria!
