Heroes of Might and Magic III

In my younger years I have many a fond memory of playing the computer game into the wee hours of the morning when I really should have been sleeping.  I jumped at the board game and took on the rather insane painting challenge that is every single miniature being a unique sculpt.  No batch painting allowed here!

As uniform in color as this faction was I actually enjoyed it a lot.  It can be fun to take greens and browns and experiment once in a while.

The variety in miniatures is both daunting to paint and awesome to have finished!

Rampart may have my favorite unicorn model of all time...

The undead were always my favorite faction in the video game, they got painted first obviously.

The Genie hero on horse was a rather inspired choice by the sculptor.

The infernal Faction was a bit of a hold up as I had to order it later getting it months after the preliminary batch.  Really had to work up a ton of fire effects for this one.

There were tons of plastic resource markers as well so they all needed a coat of paint!

The castle markers were amongst my favorite to paint, really awesome small scale sculpts here.

Even found a few chests to store the gribblies!
