More Questing In Norsca

Still going though a back log of photos.  Finally got a painting station up in the new house so I can get back to work too!  Just about have the rules for Norsca finished up as well just working on the adventures themselves now.

I really liked these Bestigor miniatures.  Just the right amount of details to distinguish them from the basic beastmen but not so much to become gaudy and overdone.

GW's chaos hounds though maybe could have used a few more mutations but I wasn't going to go through and add tentacles at this point.

Added a new chaos spawn this one from Reaper miniatures.  Love having some mythos in the dungeon now.

In Norsca generally everything gets worse for the party so now there are chaos warriors mounted on juggernauts.

Cultists are a fun addition to Norsca (and my Kings of War Abyssal army).  They are a group spellcasting enemy that has a chance to summon daemons often at the expense of their own lives.

I went a little crazy with colors on the Chaos Forsaken models.  I really wanted to have them stand out on the board as something horribly mutated.

Last but not least are the He-Man like Marauders.  Fune models for sure as painting goes lots of flesh tones to work with.

More Questing

Its been a very long time but I have some photos banked that need editing and posting so here's the lastest batch of Warhammer Quest monsters finished up for Lustria, Norsca and Sewers.

With the baby stegadon already done here's the ancient stegadon

The Behemoth spider has been in a near complete stage for ages but now its finished.

I really didn't like the chaos dragon model when I originally put it together but I gained an appreciation for it while painting for sure.  Lots of little details and fun surprises.

The cygor was fun to paint just a spray gradient and pick out details.

Picked up another stegadon to have an engine of the gods without dealing with a magnet nightmare

For Norsca the Level 11 encounters can result in exalted greater daemons.  A very rare thing but I did have models for them so first up the Bloodthirster from ultraforge (think they are troll forge now).

From the same company the great unclean one.  Went for a very pale scheme on this one really like how it turned out.

The keeper of secrets complete with chrome pool beneath.

And from Mierce miniatures a lord of change, this guy is buff and massive!

Again to avoid magnet nightmares I got a seperate ghorgon even though being gargantuan monsters they can never appear alongside the cygor model.

I realized I had used the original mummies in my Empire of Dust army so I used these frankly awesome looking mantic mummies for quest

The sewers introduced a mythic troll just because we always need more trolls.

Plague Drones now show up in Norsca adding some variety to the daemon roster.

Rat swarms are fun not only pinning warriors down but making it difficult for others to aid them without accidently striking their own allies who are engulfed in rats.

I've got a surprising amount of Slaan for Lustria, still more to come...

And the Yheeti's finish off this batch of pics

More Random Questing!

Finished up a Chaos Spawn

On top of that I've managed to decide on a basing theme for the Goblin army which means the gobos finally get purdy bases!

And Done.

Finished up the old world monster tables for Warhammer Quest finally!

First up are the Slaanesh and Khorne chaos warriors just to be complete.  This way no matter which god your chaos warrior chooses I've got it covered!

The dark elves were a bit of a salvage job as they already came painted (horribly) so some details are no longer present.
Finally the last new thing to be finished are a selection of chaos characters to be used in various strange monster encounters.  Lots of flavor and variety in these one which is always fun to paint.
As for the unposted old photos there are a ton!  Here goes:

Needed a few beastmen characters on some entries so of course reaper provides.

The chimera is from reaper as the new GW one is WAY to big to fit in the dungeon as a normal large monster.
Goblin characters are some of the most fun models to paint.

The gorgons are from reaper and in spite of the mono-pose they work well.

The bull god incarnate in the great taurus:

The reaper griffon is a wonderful model nice and easy to paint and a classic pose.

Another once hard to find model the lamasu.  Of course now GW has them back up for sale at prices that nearly match what I paid on ebay for them....

An old classic liche model.

After playing dark souls I decided the manticore needed to be white :)

I love this reaper minotaur character and I only had to touch up and shade the pre paint work that it came with as its one of the legend rubber models.

I wish I had waited to paint this model as its the necromancer from avatars of war.  Not sure I really did it much justice...

Poo daemons or nurglings you decide!

The rat ogres were bought off ebay and came painted however despite this I thought i'd leave the paint job on them as they aren't too bad.

Some more skaven characters (so tired of painting skaven!)

And yet more skaven... so many rats!

I have several flamers in multiple colors/eras of models  fun ones to paint too.
 And of course zombies.

So whats next?  First up is going to be a group shot which will take some work to get together but should be done soonish.  After that its on to lustria!
